The discounted trips are run Monday through Thursday in the evening for sunset striped bass bite that usually occurs.
4 hour trip, leaves dock around 4:30-5pm

We are focused to maximizing individual angler catch rates while increasing the overall safety for our guests. Depending on the trip, we may accomodate an additional guest. We will enhance each angler's fishing techingues so we like to have smaller groups on board for improved 1 to 1 training.
Each boat below is geared towards accomodating different trip types and party sizes. 1620 Anglers will work hard to accomodate the boat you wish to reserve and work with you to if that boat is unavailable for your desired date and time.

Captains Mike & Rick are brothers who have been fishing their whole lives. Starting out in freshwater for largemouth bass at the pond they grew up on in Manomet (South Plymouth) and graduated to stalking striped bass and tuna in the waters of Cape Cod Bay, Buzzards Bay, Stellwagen Bank, Race Point, Peaked Hill Bar and East of Chatham.
During many summers, Mike and Rick spent countless hours fishing commercially for striped bass and closely observed their habits and trends going back to 2010. With each season these elusive creatures of the sea have always kept and continue to keep us guessing with where they will be and in what numbers.
As we experienced last seaon (2022) there was a major increase in the local menhaden population and upwelling that kept our striped friends in cooler waters only a short steam from Plymouth Harbor for almost the entire season! And so far in 2023, we are seeing them make their return to our local waters much earlier than usual which points out the overall climactic shift and increase of forage fish (bait) influencing their migratory patterns.
Back in 2019 we decided to attain our masters captains licences to pursue charter fishing and share our knowledge and love for saltwater fishing with locals and vistors. We have 20 years experience saltwater fishing, both recreationally and commercially. Our good friend Captain Jake teamed up with us to provide support for larger parties and trips targeting giant bluefin tuna and black sea bass.
Depending on the amount of people (no more than 6 per U.S, Coast Guard Reglulations) we have a Captain & Boat that will be the ideal fit for you and your family and friends. 1620 Anglers is uniquely positioned to provide trips to those of you who may not have enough people to make a charter more cost-efficient. We accomodate charters of 2 to 3 people on a boat that works out to be a discounted rate per person, rather than being limited to one boat that is one cost per trip regardless if you have two people or six!
